I can’t remember the name of the soap opera but I remember seeing some photos of this episode where one of the lead female characters becomes a superheroine clad in a skimpy little costume.
I finally came across the video clip today:

Her actual name is “Awesome Annie”
And the name of the soap opera is Sunset Beach.
Gee, that show’s been off the air here in the USA for AGES. But maybe they’re still re-running it in Quebec or France.
